Germany Stryker Brigade receives Sub-Caliber Inbore NET

As part of the fielding of the new TESS training system, AAC's Technical Team led by Donn Gier traveled to Germany to instruct the first unit level New Equipment Training for the newly fielded Sub-caliber Inbore Device 105MM SA Stryker. Donn Gier and Scott Coleman instructed members of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment's Stryker Mobile Gun System crews in PMCS, Installation, Zero Procedures, Engagement Techniques, and Removal Procedures for the Inbore Device Stryker (IDS).

The AAC Technical Team, joined by members of PEO-STRI's PM-TRADE and the Fort Knox DTDCD organization, introduced the Stryker MGS crews to the IDS, which included live-fire training. Once trained these students will use the IDS for their first gunnery since returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom. They will also be able to train other Soldiers to use the IDS.

AAC plans to conduct four or five more IDS NETs over the coming year.

If Stryker crews have any questions or would like additional information they are encouraged to call AAC at 614-652-2000.
